JOB DESCRIPTION
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the design and implementation of BPMS and workflow solutions. This role will focus on assisting customers in the financial services and telecommunications sectors with optimizing and measuring their business processes, using a common technology suite. They will play a lead role in engagements that map out current state business processes, analyze those current states for efficiency/effectiveness, setting the desired state objectives, and implementing those desired states. In addition, they will develop the metrics for success and the applications to quantify those metrics in such terms as process KPI’s, Business Activity Monitoring dashboard, and activity-based cost savings.
Position Responsibilities
- This senior role will have the responsibility for developing the methodologies and applications that quantify and then optimize these processes.
- This person will select the appropriate BPM analysis methodology, maintain the company process library, work with the development team on best practices, and develop Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) solutions for each engagement.
- This person will apply the process consulting methodologies to developing new automated processes, Business Activity Monitoring applications, and the documentation of the future state process and their metrics.
- Lastly, they will work with the product team to define future functionality that is required to support these process initiatives, and will also work with the Professional Services team to enable repeat, profitable services engagements using the techniques developed on these first-of-type projects.
Education and Experience
- BS in engineering and/or business. Certification or equivalent in relevant BPMS systems and technologies.
- The right individual will have 5+ years experience implementing automated BPMS or workflow solutions that have measurable impact on a business operation, working from consultative analysis stages through the process design and implementation stages
- Strong background in implementing and optimizing business processes within such sectors as financial services and telecommunications, with an understanding of the frameworks and templates in use in those industries
- Strong working knowledge of at least one BPM change methodology
Skills and Knowledge
- Core competency in quantitative analysis and the tools that support those analyses - including Business Intelligence tools (Cognos, Business Objects), BAM (IBM, Webmethods)
- Activity-based costing and Lean/SixSigma complexity and value assessments
- Working knowledge of BPMS/Workflow systems implementations
