Pharmacy Systems Coordinator Job Description
Qualifications: Education: required - BS in Pharmacy; preferred - MS or PHD in Pharmacy;
Certification: desired - ASHP;
Specific Skills: Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) applications; clinical background (pharmacist).
Description:
Oversees the EMR pharmacy information system including updates, upgrades and data management, as well as integration with other information technology application/programs within the pharmacy department. Works with EMR team members, customers, facility SMEs, consultants & vendors to formulate scope and objectives based on customer needs. Focuses on processes, workflows and efficiency. Has full knowledge of all phases of the EMR project life cycle and performs analysis problem solving and complex decision making in the context of both the current and future phases to minimize re-work. Utilizes the EMR system solutions application tool sets. Responsible for client communication and satisfaction throughout the project life cycle an in ongoing production support of the EMR application post go-live
