Cyber IDS Analyst - 1079918

Apply experience with IDS and IPS, including real time monitoring and reporting. Correlate data from IDS and IPS systems with other sources, including firewalls, maintain IDS and IPS signatures and polices, and provide daily, weekly, and monthly IDS and IPS reporting. Demonstrate knowledge of current security threat levels. Provide analysis for the modification and addition of custom IDS policies and signatures to account for the lack of monitoring in threat areas as warranted by threat changes, including zero-day attacks and the use of SNORT and TRONS rules. Identify misuse, malware, or unauthorized activity on monitored networks. Provide on-call support after business hours subject to guidelines, which should be used for the basis of estimate purposes. This position is located in McLean, VA.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: -Experience with SNORT and ethereal -TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph  

Additional Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with analyses or information assurance can be substituted for a Bachelors degree -Experience with leading technical projects

-Knowledge of DCID, NIST, or ISO security-specific standards -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus

-CISSP, ISSMP, ISSEP, ISSAP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, or related industry-specific Certifications

-CCNA or demonstrated equivalent knowledge of internetworking  

Clearance:  Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
