It automates the planning, buying and trafficking of online display advertising, and provides access to the massive pools of liquidity which are appearing in the major ad exchanges worldwide. COMPANY aims to capitalize on the massive increase in market liquidity for online display advertising driven by increased inter-connectivity between sellers, buyers, networks, ad servers and exchanges. This liquidity is set to increase further with the arrival of real-time ad exchanges such as Google’s AdX2, AppNexus, FIM, Microsoft’s adECN and Yahoo’s APT. The massive increase in liquidity will be accompanied by an increase in the complexity of transactions and number of counter parties. COMPANY aims to address this opportunity with a platform-based suite of trading and optimization tools for media planners and buyers.

SENIOR SCIENTIST

Algorithmic optimization in real-time bidding and trading systems using Hadoop/MapReduce

Job Description:

Senior scientist who can analyze terabytes of data and billions of rows to discover correlations and patterns to come up with algorithms and strategies for bidding on inventory exchanges such as RightMedia, Doubleclick and other incumbents. Typical candidates for this role have not only developed data mining algorithms but also built large scale systems incorporating them. This is a hands-on role and if you have dealt with large amounts of sparse data and love to work with a team of smart engineers, you will love this.

Job Functions:

• Research, investigate, pick industrial data mining / machine learning algorithms


• Implement these algorithms using grid computing & affect the product direction

Requirements:

• MS / Ph.D. in computer science (with emphasis in data mining / machine learning / artificial intelligence /  mathematics)


• 6+ years industry experience in data mining and machine learning on large amounts of sparse data.

Experience:

• Experience with SEM strategies / auction mechanisms for bidding on inventory


• Structured thinker, Effective communicator, Excellent programming skills


• Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and object-oriented programming


• Experience developing software using Java, C/C++ on Linux


• Experience with hadoop / hive, MySQL
