Work will be performed in Fair Lakes, VA, Chantilly, VA, and Baltimore, MD. Some local travel is required, as is occasional travel to supplier locations. We are looking for a strong Technical Lead to oversee the combined Geospatial/SIGINT development effort. The successful candidate will lead a software development team and software integration activities to design, develop and integrate SIGINT and geospatial capabilities, including Machine Language Translation and other COMINT technologies, into the larger DCGS-A architecture. Direct the teams efforts to develop and execute work packages; maintain the development and deployment schedule, and meet delivery and build schedules. The candidate will work with the project lead and other functional leads to integrate SIGINT and geospatial software architectures and capabilities, and coordinate apaches and solutions at design and peer reviews. The candidate will interact with internal and external customers to elicit/clarify requirements, develop software documentation, support software builds, support capability demonstrations, develop work packages, establish product break down schedules, high level design, low level design, and coordinate with integration and test personnel to resolve integration and test discrepancies. The candidate will provide technical advice regarding system documentation, and installation instructions, UML design artifacts, Software Requirements Specifications, and Software Product Specifications. The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position: Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance. Bachelors degree with 14+ years of experience. Prior experience leading full lifecycle software engineering and/ or development team of 6 - 14+ developers. Familiarity with Java, WebLogic, JBoss, Oracle, ClearCase, and expert knowledge of the Windows operating environment is required. The candidate must be familiar with Software Engineering Processes (e.g. requirements, system design, verification and validation, integration, maintenance, operations, metric driven development, etc.), and have direct experience with portal/portlet architectures, Service Oriented Architecture concepts, web services, EJBs, XML data services, Java Persistence API, and CMMI practices and procedures. Familiarity with ESRI (ArcObjects), ERDAS, and Skyline product lines is also a plus. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in Agile Development and IBMs Rational Unified Process.
