Performance & Scalability Engineer

 We are looking for a performance and scalability expert to manage the infrastructure that supports a web technology platform for measuring and driving consumer behavior.

Description:  Individual will be running systems that run sites 24/7.  These multiple sites serve millions of requests and infrastructures that are constantly growing. 

We are looking for a self motivated individual who will be proactive and take the initiative to find answers to problems if need be.  This individual will be responsible for hooking things together properly to avoid bottlenecks.

This individual has to love working with open sources.

Requirements: (Must have all of these or do not apply)

* Must have several years of experience with OPEN SOURCE INFRASTRUCTURES

* Must have a good sense of high performance systems and architectures

* Must be able to work with coders

* Have 5+ years of Linux experience

* Must have system administration experience (RHEL/Centos) preferred

* Must have a strong networking infrastructure experience (TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancers, firewalls, etc..) 

* Must have worked with high volume web sites and understand how things work together. 

* Experience in Nagios, Munin, Puppet and custom scripts is a must. 

* Should be familiar with basic systems monitoring and management concepts

* Must have good scripting skills in at least one language. For example ..perl or bash.  Others languages are acceptable.
