About the Opportunity

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the account technical team and client to understand the clients marketing initiatives and to ensure that the database platforms that Epsilon manages on their behalf will support the marketing tactics. The Analyst is expected to thoroughly understand the marketing database models, specifically those tables/attributes that support marketing program execution and measurement. Where there are new data implications to a campaign or program, the Analyst will work with the database team to implement any database enhancements.
The Analyst is responsible for translating the clients marketing business rules into functional/business specifications; creating test plans; developing quality assurance methodologies; leading the client in user acceptance testing; proactively identifying areas for improved marketing processes and operational efficiency; identifying and researching any data discrepancies and escalating issues to other team members when necessary. The Analyst will also collect and maintain project documentation and ensure that it complies with standards; lead internal team meetings and provide direction to the database team; identify and communicate project related risks and possible solutions; and prioritize project requests and manage client expectations.

5 or more years experience managing complex projects is required.
4+ years Internet and/or relational database application testing required.
4+ years SQL query writing required (Oracle preferred). This role requires an understanding of relational databases and SQL proficiency is required.
Familiarity with Web Services/SOAP/Oracle/JAVA/.NET technologies strongly preferred.
Strong client management and project management skills are required.
The ability to define, manage and track project related tasks and time lines is critical.
This position requires an individual who can effectively multitask, learn the business quickly (marketing programs, tactics and business rules) and be proactive with the client and agency partners- - driving toward decision/resolution on open issues, always seeking the business context around an operational request.
Attention to detail, strong listening skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
