Primary Responsibilities
Effectively partners with business unit stakeholders to determine business needs and drivers.
Incorporates instructional design process methodology to curriculum including: analysis of the audience, job tasks, the development of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, learning activities, and evaluation strategies.
Mentor and directly supervise/coach other designers and content developers in assessment, design, and development of well-written and -designed training materials and curricula.
Primarily focused on applying adult learning theory and formal instructional design principles in assessing, developing the course outline, objectives, and course structure, in addition to content
Develops or leads the development of Technology Based Training (TBT), Web-Based Training (WBT) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) packages in accordance with sound instructional design (ID) principles.
Ensures Intuit leaders and/or facilitators participating in the delivery of the curricula understand the learning objectives, course structure, and are supported during delivery
Provides high-quality, effective feedback on design plans, storyboards, and job aids to instructional designers and facilitators for newly designed curriculum
Analyzes externally available and existing internal solutions and makes recommendations on appropriate “create” strategy (buy/build/recycle).
Takes initiative to identify and implement instructional design process improvements and implements design best practices
Acts as lead project manager to ensure that the development of instructional materials achieves milestones, timelines, and deliverable goals and objectives.
Provides strategic direction in the development of web-based learning content that meets the needs of L&D, its customers, and Intuit.
Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to actively partner and build relationships with team members, internal customers and global service providers and partners across business and functional units to provide deliverables.
3-5 years experience managing complex L&D projects from start through on-time and successful completion.
Experience managing direct reports or significant experience leading through influence to deliver results
Demonstrated skill using learner-centered and performance-based approaches to learning and performance improvement.
Experience developing classroom training, self-paced instruction and Technology-Based Training (TBT)
Experience designing and developing comprehensive sales curriculum is preferred Exceptional written / verbal language and grammar skills
Proficient with instructional design and course authoring tools (both ILT and TBT) such as HTML, Dreamweaver, Captivate, Photoshop, Flash, and Fireworks
