Finance Developer

Position summary:  This team member will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software for the finance, treasury and accounting functions as well as driving efficiency and effectiveness through development of analytical solutions.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The ideal candidate will be innovative and fit with the company’s values of teamwork, respect, mental flexibility, and contribute to work-life balance.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Interact with multiple departments to understand requirements
• Work cross functionally with other software development functions to create optimal company wide solutions.
• Design processes and build tools to extract, transform, & load.
• Design and develop reporting applications using data warehousing concepts.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using C#, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS. ASP.NET
• Design and develop necessary database objects (tables, stored procedures, etc.).
• Identify and implement process improvements.

• Strong development skills in C# or Java
• Experience with SQL and stored procedures for RDMS databases.
• Experience with OLAP tools
• Analytical mindset with a heavy attention to detail, and able to manage numerous priorities and meet deadlines.
• Team oriented – work with employees in Trading, Compliance, Clearing, Accounting, Finance, Data Services and Administration to achieve company’s goals.
• Candidate must be able to work alone or as a member of a team.
• Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.

• Securities industry knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with accounting or ERP packages.
• Financial Accounting / Reporting experience
