Transforming the future of technology and public health... Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Sr. SAS Developer. This position will be located in Atlanta, GA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grummans team that supports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

 

Role and Responsibilities: Responsible for leading the development of major system components for the National eHARS Data Processing (NeDP) system in Base SAS and SAS Macro. Design and develop most of the NeDP Business Logic using Base SAS and SAS Macro. Responsible for designing, with the Architect and SQL Developer, interactions with the NeDP SQL Server database. Design and create complex SAS datasets with detailed criteria describing each dataset. Create complex reports using Base SAS and SAS Macro. Provide data quality control and quality assurance. Perform work assignments accurately and within negotiated timelines. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Must hold Bachelors degree and minimum 8 years relevant work experience At least 6-8 years experience developing integrated systems that include MS SQL Server as well as Java/JEE using Base SAS. Minimum 5 years experience developing system components (not just reports) using Base SAS and SAS Macro programming languages and using large volumes of data. Expertise in SAS macros, functions (data step manipulation), report generation (proc freq, tabulate, summary, report, and template). Expertise in large database manipulation, transfer, and storage. Minimum of 2 years writing SQL language within SQL Server environment. Experience with trouble shooting, training, and providing technical assistance. Excellent organizational skills, commitment to generating accurate data and ability to meet short deadlines, and demonstrated experience in multi-tasking. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary group. Additional Skills: Experience working in public health setting.
