Healthcare Applications Manager

Our prestigious health system client in Philadelphia has asked us to find the right person to excel in their fast-paced, ever-growing environment.   The Clinical Applications Manager will be responsible to manage and support a portfolio of clinical applications. Reporting to the Clinical Systems Director, this person will be “The Face of IT to the Doctors” and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, tactical plans, and managing resources. The applications manager will have a team of about 15 people (3 directs) and responsibilities will include:

Requirements: 

• Experience with EMR’s (Electronic Medical Redords) is a must have.

• BS required, Master’s preferred, clinical field experience a plus




• Minimum of 10 years experience in healthcare information systems, both implementation and support




• Experience with large clinical systems such as Epic.




• Formal Project Management training and experience.




• The ability to create a high degree of trust with the various application users, and the capability to act as the interface between user communities and the relevant project teams




• Analytical and business knowledge to determine the impact of requested changes and the rational supporting the requests




• Proven ability to manage technical teams and their interaction with clinical customers




• Strong communications skills with the ability to listen carefully and to understand clinical needs and requirements
