POS Software Architect - C# Architect

Job Description:

The Software Architect will be leading the effort to architect, build and deploy the next generation of point of sale applications.  Candidates should have experience with the design and implementation of large scale n-tier applications with the Microsoft Technology stack.

Qualifications:

• Masters in Computer Science or equivalent work experience


• 5+ years of C# development experience


• 5+ years experience with MS-SQL 2000/2005/2008.


• 2+ years experience as a Technical Manager or Team Lead


• Experience with the development and maintenance of complex retail systems

Critical Skills:

• Experience with Full Life Cycle Software Development (Design, Coding, Testing and Implementation)


• Leading and mentoring developers 


• Ability to effectively communicate and work with upper management


• Experience with .Net 3.5 framework (primarily WCF & Entity Framework)


• Experience Developing Web Services (REST & SOAP RPC)


• Expert level knowledge of C#  (LINQ, expression trees, and constraints)


• Database Design and Object Relational Mapping Design and Implementation 


• Object Oriented Analysis/Design/Development


• Ability to interpret and create design patterns in UML


• Ability to Multi-task


• Strong communication skills


• Strong experience with technical documentation
