Vice President IT

Overview:
The VP of Security Engineering will act as the senior leader for a team of security engineering professionals responsible for providing security engineering to support business initiatives and protect company and customer information assets.  The VP will oversee all aspects of security engineering, strategy, and best practices including LOB, Infrastructure, Physical, End User.   In addition they will lead a team that develops and implements technology tools and solutions, partnering with the Security Architecture and Security Operations teams, and defines and enforces standards.     The VP will report to the SVP Enterprise Information Security, Risk & Compliance.
 
Job Responsibilities :
 
Responsible for all aspects of Security Engineering including implementation of architecture, upgrades and patches,   deployment of technologies, configuration, capacity planning, proactive analysis, penetration tests, and vulnerability scanning  
Responsible for evaluation of new products, gathering   technology requirements and developing secure infrastructure design and   configuration standards  
Technology selection and deployment for Data Loss Prevention, Denial of Service, SSL VPN, and other solutions  
Responsible for security assessments including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, code scanning.   
Responsible for building a strong team that works locally and globally to ensure effective partnerships Create and maintain strategic plan to achieve business goals, including implementation of new security tools, improving performance of existing tools, standardizing of tools across First Data globally.  Consult with business partners to ensure understanding of standards and support of risk based approach to managing security solutions.   Participate in M&A, new business, and new product due diligence and full integration efforts. 

Requirements:
Incumbent has track record of demonstrating superior knowledge and experience in security engineering, risk management planning, and concepts and processes related to managing enterprise security.   
Partners effectively with other senior leaders across First Data to validate or develop the security solutions required to meet business requirements.  Strong understanding of multi-platform environments a must Experience in proactively developing solutions for security engineering to mitigate risk across the organization 10+ years of related technical and business experience within a progressive IT environment Bachelors Degree; Masters preferred or equivalent work experience
