Position Summary
Our game-changing VP of Information Systems will lead the way in…:
*…Linking technology to internal strategy—how can technology enhance operations?
*…Linking technology to external strategic services—how can technology create new offerings to clients? How can technology grow the business?
*…Forecasting how technology will change competition and managing consequent change—how can technology become a competitive advantage?
Responsibilities
* Supervises and inspires department staff over multiple locations.
*Directs and manages computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
*Responsible for voice & data network architecture within a multi-site contact center environment
*Directs information management budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering, and database system strategy.
*Oversees planning and implementation of all business information systems.
*Directs the information strategy of the company based on forecasting information from senior management.
*Sets the overall direction of internal business systems.
*Identifies user needs and directs building of MIS teams to work across all levels of the organization.
*Serves as primary corporate spokesperson for information management.
*Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.
*Interfaces with industry on information management and information technology matters.
*Manage acquisition and training in new technology.
*Design and direct development of custom modules.
*Control of IT budgetary responsibilities.
*Responsible for Vendor Management.
*Direct experience leading Microsoft, web application development plus some significant knowledge in managing a help desk, network administration, telecom or networking.
*Evaluate potential new projects, and determine possible requirements in terms of technology knowledge and personnel.
*Have appropriate input into new business bids, and should participate at appropriate points in the sales process. Enhance synergy between existing and new projects by sharing lessons learned and coordinating technology enhancements.
*Architect and define the development environment for all of the projects undertaken. As new technologies become available, the VP of Information Systems should work with the appropriate Technology personnel in evaluating and integrating appropriate technologies into the development environment.
*Assist in identifying key skill needs, and recommending the appropriate hiring and training actions. At the conclusion of each and every project, the VP of Information Systems should lead a debriefing, analyzing how well the technology used on the project came together, what the lessons learned from the project were, and how to capture elements of the project into reusable components.
Experience/Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s Degree or higher
*5+ Years at VP, Vice President, or Director of IT/IS level
*Experience managing IT/IS environment supporting at least hundreds of users (preferably in a Contact Center setting)
*Ability to learn quickly and absorb technology
*Great Verbal/ Written Skills
*Second-to-none Management & Leadership Skills
*Solid grasp of help desk management, telecom and networking
*Experience with Web Tools and Technology
*Understanding of General Programming Concepts
*Understanding of client/server technology
*Preferred: Call center or fulfillment experience
*Preferred: Hands on technical skills in C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server
