Core Java Developer for Major Investment Firm

Our client, a major investment services firm in NYC seeks a strong mid-level server-side Core Java Developer with multi-threading experience to join their Fixed Income Technology team. This role includes working with the business unit to develop, enhance and support Fixed Income products, focusing heavily on the credit derivatives business.

The successful candidate will be an excellent technologist and someone who keeps abreast of the latest technological innovations. As well, you must be a very technical person with excellent communication skills who constantly strives to improve the existing infrastructure. A financial background is not required; however the candidate must have a desire to learn the industry!

Experience:

• 1-5 years of Core Java development, multithreading, Relational Database experience (SQL, Sybase) and excellent communication skills.


• Fixed income product knowledge/Credit Derivatives knowledge a plus--not a must.


• BA/BS from a top tier university with a focus in CS, Math or Engineering--MUST HAVE.
