Business Analyst - MMBB

 Innovative Pre-IPO New York City Financial Software company needs a dynamic Business Analyst. Candidate must be driven, articulate, and be an outstanding functional spec writer. Will be the direct liaison between the CTO and advanced C++ developers.

• Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Work closely with members of cross-functional technology team to refine and define functional specifications for next-generation financial software
• Translate complex functional specifications into detailed test plans
• Assist with creating and documenting the QA process
• Play an active role in driving the design, build, testing, production and post-production phases of the system

Required Skills

• Demonstrable evidence of analyzing and documenting complex business processes
• Demonstrable experience writing requirements specifications for Information Systems
• A proven track record in Software Development
• End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle
• Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Management preferred
• Minimum 4-5 years work experience
• In depth experience with scripting; python, perl
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading systems
• Programming experience a plus
• Experience with database schema design and database platforms; mysql, php, Sybase a plus
