Sr QA Engineer / Automation

HOT, COOL, LATEST and GREATEST in TECHNOLOGY software company is seeking a technical QA Engineer

·         Develop test automation framework and automation strategy
·         Create and maintain tools/code to generate large data sets
·         Functional as well as performance testing of the product
·         Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision, adapting quickly to new technologies
·         Ability to quickly comprehend project goals/requirements, identify holes/omissions and testing challenges/impediments
·         Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to team. Provide resource/time estimates for all testing activities
·         Establish collaborative relationships with Product Managers and Software Development Engineers to ensure success of project test phases
·         Analyze product requirements and design specifications to create detailed test plans/test cases
·         Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software
·         Identify and isolate defects, write accurate, concise and reproducible bug reports
·         Develop/enhance internal tools to augment/automate appropriate tests

Demonstrated experience in the following technical areas:

·         Java programming
·         Algorithm design
·         SQL scripting and backend validation of tests
·         HTML, XML, JSP, JavaScript, Python, or Perl
·         Unix/Linux based operating systems
·         Installation and configuration of n-tier components
·         Agile development methodologies

Solid experience and understanding of the following conceptual areas:

·         API level test automation
·         Testing and debugging of enterprise-grade web application
·         Test plan and test case authoring
·         Software release cycles and milestones
·         Ability to review and provide feedback on product design and requirements
·         Strong skills in communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail
