Services provided by Lewin include empirical research and data analysis, management and organizational consulting, modeling and decision support, program design and implementation, qualitative research and program evaluation and action research.
The position of Senior Vice President, State Government Market, is driven by Lewins desire to implement and maximize a strategic and organized approach to the marketing of Lewins services to the state market. The SVP, a highly experienced and respected executive, will lead efforts to broaden and deepen the firms offerings to state agencies, including Medicaid, aging, mental health/substance abuse, human services and welfare, and others, as well as state legislatures, commissions, and the like.
Candidates who have an established history with and an in-depth understanding of this markets strategic priorities, and who can leverage existing relationships with high level decision-makers, will be ideally qualified. Additionally, the SVP will be expected to cultivate new relationships within the aforementioned organizations to establish Lewin as a go-to consulting firm for their project needs. The SVP will also be the senior client relationship manager for all of Lewins activities within the state market and must partner effectively with other Lewin Vice Presidents who work in this space.
? As National Practice Leader for the state market, the SVP will initiate and manage all business development, marketing, planning and proposal development for this sector, consistent with the overall Lewin business plan. This includes responsibility for achievement of strategic imperatives for new services, achieving financial targets for revenue and operating income, and increasing capabilities for near and long-term economic growth.
? Collaborate with Lewins other market leaders and vice presidents, emphasizing cross-marketing/selling, to achieve strategic financial objectives and institutional strategic objectives.
? Maintain constant client focus. Assure that customer needs are met or exceeded, and that services and products provided are of the highest quality, driving customer retention, repeat business and referrals. Contribute expertise to and overall stewardship of key assignments, assuring that projects are completed on budget and realize anticipated profit margins.
? Develop and execute strategies to recruit, develop, utilize and retain top-quality staff.
? Demonstrate professional achievement and skill in state consulting or policy research and for contributing to the advancement of knowledge, techniques or new ideas in the state market.
? Inspire confidence of others in his/her ability to represent The Lewin Group and its work to the public through subject matter expertise, poise and leadership qualities.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
? Outstanding credentials and significant experience in senior management roles with one or more of the following: consulting firms, state government agencies, health insurers (with an emphasis on government programs), and major healthcare foundations/think tanks.
? A demonstrated track record of success developing new business. Extensive contacts within the state government market highly desirable, especially with high-level decision makers.
? Demonstrated leadership ability, strong strategic planning skills and high-level project management experience.
