The Director is responsible for providing leadership to the applied research function across the Institute. This will involve identifying, implementing and monitoring strategies and initiatives related to facilitating the progress of significant innovation and applied research projects. Attracting additional funding to the Institute and maximizing the relationships with industry and government through the effective use of Institute technology, resources and expertise to assist industry in furthering their technical/applied research needs.
