Provide software engineering support and technical advice to government program offices for the acquisition and evaluation of software systems. Tasking will focus on real-time software, especially spacecraft flight software, but will likely also involve ground and non-real-time systems. Responsibilities include evaluating real-time and mission critical software architectures, designs, and implementations; analyzing requirements; evaluating development methodologies; monitoring software acquisitions; and coordinating with other engineers to provide an overall assessment of a system.
