Responsible for directing and managing the activities of a technical design Electrical Engineering group. Generally assigned to complex operations, with independent authority and broad span of control in terms of functions directed, value of resources controlled, operational difficulties encountered and/or total number of employees managed. Manages and conducts research and development, and technical programs which lead to improved product, and increased engineering output. Evaluates final results of research and development projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives.
