Must have extensive experience in systems software development with emphasis on database internals. Significant background working with one or more of the following mechanisms required: concurrency control (lock or multi-versioning, DLM), transactions (ACID), atomicity, logging and recovery (crash consistent data structures and routines), check-pointing (e.g. fuzzy, consistent snapshots), and replication (with 2-phased commit or preferably consensus). Strong multi-threading and working with distributed development is essential.
