As a Senior Manager for the Digital Transformation Service, you will lead a team of software practioners who provide immersive and educational consulting services for other software teams. These services are vital to enable a digital first culture which paves the way for Boeing’s second century. Position Responsibilities:

  • This is a senior management role. 
  • Your duties will include but are not limited:
    • Lead and develop a team of product managers, product designers and software developers
    • Oversight to ensure seamless delivery of our core services
    • Engage with business partners to effectively market and pulse demand of the service offerings
  • You will be expected to manage a team of twelve co-located employees. You will:
    • Engage with team members to ensure effective development and performance goals are set
    • Ensure decision making and empowerment shift to the individual contributors
    • Develop plans which connect the team to company goals while ensuring they are engaged in their job responsibilities
  • You will be expected to manage services rendered to IT and other business functions. You will:
    • Oversee team leads who deliver service offerings
    • Ensure feedback from clients drives continuous service improvement
    • Define repeatable and scalable practices
    • Monitor service maturity and track service metrics, along with financial performance
  • You will be expected to engage with organizational leaders to drive culture towards a focus on people and delivering value. You will:
    • Develop strategies for adoption of core software development principles
    • Partner with other managers for amplifying company culture expectations
    • Engage with teammates to demonstrate patterns of industry best practices

Qualifications 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 3+ years prior experience managing teams
  • 5+ years prior experience in a service oriented role
  • Prior experience running a software team (or business) and working directly with clients to deliver technology services
  • A basic understanding of all the following with a strong understanding of one:
    • eXtreme Programming
    • Lean Startup principles
    • User Centered Design
  • Preferred experience working in a similar role with a consultancy or software development organization
  • Bachelors or Masters in a field related to product management or software development, or equivalent experience  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Technical experience delivering software
  • Transformational leadership
  • Experience with SaaS implementations
  • Exposure to modern hosting services (Cloud, PaaS, IaaS)
  • DevOps
