Summary:

The Director Strategy and Financial Planning will be a member of the team that oversees the strategic and financial planning functions for Comcast Corporation. This person will work across all of Comcast's businesses, including NBCUniversal, Comcast Cable, and Comcast Ventures. The scope of the role includes evaluating new growth opportunities, working directly with senior executives in the businesses on strategic opportunities and challenges, and supporting a general focus on returns on capital and investments.

Responsibilities:

-Oversees projects and develops strategic analyses to assess new growth opportunities or emerging business risks for the Executive Management Committee

-Identifies business, financial and operational implications. Provides business insights based on rigorous, fact-based analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics and cost trends.

-Evaluates new or existing projects for financial returns IRR/ROI/ROIC

-Participates in business development and partnership discussions, including distribution, technology/product, content and monetization deals.

-May support the launch of new products and business operations by working with key constituents across products and functions (e.g., product development, programming, operations) to ensure alignment with business objectives.

-Represent the broad view of Comcast when supporting the business on specific projects or initiatives.

Support select internal initiatives such as strategic retreats, recruiting programs, efficiency programs.

Qualifications:

-Minimum 2-4 years of management consulting experience. 7+ years of overall strategy & development or related experience preferred

- MBA preferred or post-graduate degree preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business or related field of study

-Experience developing business plans, business cases, and senior-executive level presentations.

-Previous management consulting experience.

-Financial modeling expertise.

-Experience conducting risk analyses and portfolio assessments.

-Previous experience with the cable, telecommunications, internet, media and/or entertainment industries.

-Excellent diplomacy, relationship building and communications skills across all levels.

-Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

-MBA or post-graduate degree preferred.
